New Oleville

Hi everyone,

We're going to be completely redesigning the SGA website, Oleville.com. In the meantime, we'll be using this blog as a replacement. Every week we'll update a list of events and important dates, etc., that you would have found on the old Oleville.com.

Unfortunately, there will be no poll questions anymore.

Love,
Your SGA Team

Ole Night Out! Sign-up Today

The Student Alumni Association (SAA) invites you to take part in Ole Night Out on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 6:00 p.m.

Tired of the "Home Line" and craving something home-cooked? Are you sick of the crowded cafeteria or desire the warmth of home? On November 11th, alumni from Northfield, the southern suburbs, and south Minneapolis/St. Paul will host students in their homes for dinner. Alumni are always curious about current student life and Student Alumni Association knows students are curious about life at Olaf in the past.

All students have the opportunity to meet fabulous alumni and create connections for life during Ole Night Out. You could dine with a St. Olaf faculty or staff member (there are nearly 100 faculty/staff members who are Ole alumni), a Board of Regents or Alumni Board member, a recent grad living in a studio in Uptown, a well-known chef from downtown Minneapolis, or even a high-ranking executive of a large Twin Cities business.

Sign up in groups of 3-5 friends. Registration forms are available in the Student Activities Office and are also attached to this email. The registration form is due in the Student Activities Office by Monday, October 29th. You will receive your alumni host's name and address by Tuesday, November 6th.

Alumni families will expect you for dinner at 6:00 p.m. For those traveling to Minneapolis, you will need to leave by 5:00 p.m. and by 5:45 p.m. for those eating in Northfield. Please plan accordingly. Transportation to and from the event is your responsibility; however, contact Katie Hellen (hellen@stolaf.edu) to make special arrangements if necessary.
Treat yourself to a great opportunity to network, make connections, and enjoy a home-cooked dinner that is NOT served on a tray!
