Happy Holidays and merry break. Enjoy some R&R and we'll see you back on the hill for interim (or maybe not!) Enjoy your time wherever you end up this January. Oleville's going to take some time off until Interim kicks into gear. So until then.....

Pause Kitchen closes Tonight!

Dear friends,

I regret to inform you that tonight the Pause Kitchen will be closing for the semester. Tonight is our last chance this year to enjoy the Oreo Milkshakes, the Pizza Bagels, the Pitas with Hummus, and the employee of the week posters. Fear not, because the Pause will reopen in 2008 with all the same vigor and cheer, but after tonight we will never again enjoy the Pause Kitchen in 2007. Be sure to hug someone today--and remember the Pause will be back after Christmas.

SAC Movies in Viking... All Week!

The Student Activites Committee is giving you all an early Christmas Present. Come to Viking theater at 7pm on any night this week and you'll be treated to a Holiday movie. Everything starts tomorrow night with Love Actually.

Oleville Updates

There's some new things to take note of on your favorite St. Olaf website:

-Now you can watch previews of the Student Activities Committee (SAC) movies that show in Viking Theater each week. Click "Viking Movie Previews" under the 'Going On' tab.
-The Grey's Days Blog has been updated, check it out in the Student Blog section
-There is a new Overheard at Olaf... just scroll down to see it
-On Tuesday SGA had a Senate meeting--that means there's another Senate Remixed Blog post
-More Resources: The 'Resources' tab now carries a link to the Student Alumni Directory.

Student Life Senator Elections Today!

My last post told you all about it, but just in case you weren't listening there is an important election today for Student Life Senator.

Stop by the SGA voting tabling outside the caf, or just click here, login and carry out your civic duty. Polls are open until 8pm.

Forum and Elections!

The candidate forum for the Student Life Senator position will be held tomorrow night (Thursday, December 6) from 9 - 9:30 PM in Trollhaugen. Please come with interested ears and minds. The elected student, to be chosen between Steven Johnson and Daniel Plunkett, will represent your voice to the administration on all student life issues.

The actual Elections are going on the day after (Friday December 7th). Be sure to stop by the SGA table (which will be at the base of the Buntrock Stairs) and cast your vote in this important election.

So how about it St. Olaf? Be an extraordinary citizen: get informed and vote your heart out!

Fa La La La! Student Alumni Association Caroling

Dearest Students, Alumni, Faculty & Staff,

Next Tuesday, December 11th (the night before Reading Day)
Come One Come All To Student and Alumni Caroling!!

In the spirit of the holidays The Student Alumni Assocation (SAA) has decided to go caroling around the St. Olaf campus and in Northfield. We will be visiting dorms as well as homes of alumni in the area. All are welcome. Songbooks will be provided. People are welcome to bring their instruments and of course their singing voices. Snacks and hot drinks will be provided and merrymaking will take place after the walk.

Join us at 6 p.m. in the Buntrock Commons Crossroads, where will gather to distribute songbooks, tune our voices, and bundle up for the cold.

We will begin by walking down St. Olaf Ave. and then return to campus to serenade students. Our night will end at 8:30 p.m. in the Buntrock Commons Heritage Room for holiday treats and hot chocolate. Students -- this is the perfect way to calm your nerves before finals begin. Come for as little or as long as your schedule allows.
